When a consumers buys an RV, Motorhome, Tow Vehicle , many retail dealers try to retire on the sale of each unit. This practice is bad of the consumer and bad for the RV business. We have put together a short price list as a rule of thumb. If you purchase an RV Truck over this guideline you are adding thousands dollars to the dealerships profit and create a greater loss for yourself at the time of re-sale.

Safety and Driveability … "These two features go together and are Most Important"
Legal Towing and Stopping Capability... Weigh your truck and trailer "wet". Both fully loaded (no don’t use the tagged or brochure weight—actually weigh the total loaded package). Compare this to the total, legal GCWR (gross combined weight rating) of your truck. This is the maximum safe and legal towing rating. The GCWR is not an arbitrary figure; it’s an extremely important limit. (Don’t let the pickup truck salesman tell you different.)
Emergency Maneuverability and Stopping Power... A Midsize Tow Vehicle has over twice as much control and braking power over a 1 ton dually. No more concern or white knuckles on those steep, long and twisty down hills.
Visibility and Operator Comfort... Although not a tall vehicle, the field of vision is high enough and open enough to command a much better view. Large, truly usable mirrors are standard equipment. You also have the option of choosing air ride on the chassis, air ride cab (on most models) and air ride seats.
Power and Performance... If
you wisely match your engine size to the transmission you prefer
(manual shift or automatic), you will have 1 ½ to almost 3 times
the actual, on the pavement, pulling power over the 1 ton pickup.
Safely and quickly move up and merge with traffic when entering
form an on ramp (even when the ramp is climbing a hill), with
just a soft nudge of your toe. When traveling in severe
mountainous conditions, during extreme Summer heat, you can move
with traffic without overheating or over taxing the engine or
drive train.
Economy... The mile per gallon of fuel usually far exceeds the mileage over an over taxed 1 ton dually, under the same conditions.

Many Truck Dealers who sell Rv Trucks and MotorHomes have a fleet of commercial flat beds trucks to haul their units or pay to transport their vehicles. Smaller Dealers do not have trucks and may disconnect the odometers during transportation from the conversion company to the retail location.
Computers Do Not Lie!
The current generation of computer operated diesel engines have a firewall built in to the system that reports the trucks true milage! This protects the consumer and will quickly display the trucks true milage. The next time your truck is in for service ask your dealer to check your trucks true milage. If it does not reflect the odometer reading report this to the "STATE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES " for investigation!
